Two more land in the nest

FARRER League club East Wagga-Kooringal has added another two quality players to its playing list for next season with the addition of Joe and James Scott for 2014.

The Scott brothers played with Mangoplah-Cookardinia-United-Eastkakes in the Riverina Football League last season but have both signed on to join EWK.

Joe, a tough midfielder and forward, and James, a classy left-footed midfielder, join a long list of players to have signed on for EWK under new coach Gavin McMahon.

EWK has already landed the biggest signing coup in the Riverina for some years by luring star full-forward Marc Geppert from RFL club Collingullie-Ashmont-Kapooka along with Demons team-mate the speedy Ben Absolum.

Throw in Blake Aichinger, Scott Burge, Nick Baggio and Dean Jones, all from MCUE, along with Daniel Davey and EWK has built up a formidable playing list for next year.

McMahon said the club was delighted to have secured the signatures of Joe and James Scott.

“We are very happy to have them,” McMahon said.

“They are two juniors of the club who are coming home and that’s what we have based our recruitment around.”

Both the Scott brothers played in MCUE’s finals campaign last season and will add plenty more firepower to EWK’s list.

The Scotts have both played junior football with EWK and their signings continue the theme of bringing players back to the Hawks’ nest.

Since McMahon took over EWK has signed Absolum, the Scott brothers, Daniel Davey and Jay Peace who are all EWK juniors.
