Come and meet the Sydney Swans
Come and meet the Sydney Swans Over the next two weeks the Sydney Swans players will be taking time out from their busy training schedules to visit young eager Auskickers along with their family and friends at 16 Auskick centres across western Sydney.

All AFL fans are encouraged to come along and meet the players at any of the 16 centres. There will be an NAB AFL Auskick clinic at the start of each event for boys and girls aged five to 12 years old. The players will be there to lend a helping hand at the clinics and will then be available to sign autographs, answer questions and take photos with all of their fans. Ruffles, way to go! NSW/ACT RAMS forward Tim Ruffles has moved a step closer to realising his dreams of playing AFL when he was among 79 players claimed by the 16 AFL clubs at this years NAB AFL Draft.

Ruffles, who plays with North Ballarat in the TAC Cup, was selected by the Fremantle Dockers with pick 68. He was the sole RAMS player to be snapped up by an AFL club at the NAB AFL Draft. more -->

Five young stars make the cut Five AFL Scholarship holders from NSW have been handed the chance of a lifetime to play football for an AFL club, with all five now listed as Scholarship Rookies on AFL lists for 2009.

The exciting announcement came last Friday as all AFL clubs were required to submit club lists, in preparation for next month’s NAB AFL Draft, to be held on Saturday November 29. more -->

New Talent Zone for 2009 The AFL (NSW/ACT) Talented Player Program will expand to seven zones with the addition of a third zone in the Sydney region in 2009.
