AFL NSW/ACT Academy Series Round 3 Teams Named
The Sydney Swans U18 Academy side are pushing for a clean sweep against the GIANTS U18 Academy team in the third and final game of the AFL NSW/ACT Academy Series tomorrow at Kippax Oval in Canberra.
The two sides went toe-to-toe in a 1-point thriller in their previous meeting at Lakeside Oval in Sydney.
In a low scoring affair, a goal on the siren from Sydney’s Liam Maze decided the contest after the GIANTS held a three-goal lead at the last change.
The bounce is at 1:10pm and it promises to be another enthralling contest.
It’s a very different scenario in the U16s.
The GIANTS Academy team are coming off a comfortable 40-point against the Swans Academy.
They hold a two-game advantage in the best of three series heading in to tomorrow’s match scheduled for 11am.
The U18 Youth Girls Academy sides are also in action for only the second time in their history.
The GIANTS Academy team were far too strong in their first meeting, defeating the Swans Academy 12.9 (81) to 1.3 (9).
The Round 2 match in the AFL NSW/ACT Female Academy Series is at 9:15am.
