Myers receives last minute call up to Allies

Brendan Myers has received a late call up into the Allies team to take on Vic Metro today.

The two teams will play at Simonds Stadium in Geelong at 2.10pm for Round 5 of the NAB AFL U18 Championships.

Room was made for Myers in the team when Tasmanian, Jakes Hinds injured himself in the lead up to the match.

Myers’ selection comes after a best on ground performance for the GWS GIANTS NEAFL side against the NT Thunder last Saturday.

Myers racked up a game-high 32 disposals and took away the Round 14 NEAFL Rising Star nomination in the GIANTS’ close loss at Spotless Stadium.
