Twenty-one NSW/ACT players picked for Diversity Academies

AFL NSW/ACT is proud to present the 21 players from our state and territory selected in the 2023 AFL Diversity Academies.

The AFL Diversity Academies comprise the Indigenous Academy and Multicultural Academy for boys and girls. Players who feature in the Multicultural Academy have one parent born outside Australia.

Participants in the AFL Diversity Academies are aged 16 to 18.

All the NSW/ACT players have been involved in AFL NSW/ACT’s Multicultural and Indigenous Youth Leadership Programs, supported by Transport for NSW and were part of the national Flying Boomerangs and World Team boys programs, and Woomeras and Medleys girls programs.

The 2023 AFL Diversity Academies will take part in an induction camp in Adelaide in April, which will feature a mixture of training, education sessions, team building and cultural activities.

We wish them all the best as they seek to improve on their talent and rise further through the football ranks.

See full squads and more details at the Academies here.

The boys’ camp will take place from Monday, April 3 to Wednesday, April 5, while the girls induction camp will be held from Wednesday, April 26 to Friday, April 28.
