St Ives junior wins Kieren Jack Medal

The medal’s namesake, Sydney Swans co-captain and former Pennant Hills Demon Kieren Jack, was in attendance to present the award at Tuesday night’s function, held at St Ignatius College, Riverview.

The Kieren Jack Medal was first awarded in 2011 and is presented to the Best and Fairest player in the Under-16 Division One Sydney Harbour competition.

Wright, who attends Barker College, took out the award with 23 votes. He is also a member of the QBE Sydney Swans Academy.

His father played lower-grade AFL for the Sydney Swans in the early 1990s.

Hosted by Regional Chairman David Burgess, the Presentation night recognised the efforts of the 6189 junior and youth players in the Harbour-wide competition.
