Broken Hill’s Isaac Cumming is another potential draftee for AFL NSW/ACT.

The defender is a member of the GWS Giants Academy and has been nominated by the club as a Club Academy player, which means the GIANTS can match any bids made for him on Draft night.

If a nominated Club Academy player is overlooked on Draft night, the nominating club has the option to select them as a Category B rookie.

Cumming finished second in the kicking test at the NAB AFL Draft Combine.

“Isaac is a great young man who did as much travel as anyone in our program this year being based out of Broken Hill. He’s really come on in the last 12-18 months. He’s a really versatile type and maybe suffered a bit this year because of that. We played him forward, back and mid. In a perfect world we would have left him in one spot, but that versatility should add to his draftability. He was tiny when we first saw him as a 13-year-old so he’s grown quite a bit. He’s athletic, clean and generally a good user of the footy.”
