NAB Cup tickets on sale now
It’s going to be a historic year for Australian Football in NSW/ACT with the GWS GIANTS’ debut just weeks away while the Sydney Swans celebrate their 30th year in the harbour city.
To mark the occasion will be three huge NAB Cup fixtures in the opening three rounds of the pre-season competition in New South Wales.
Tickets are now on sale for GWS GIANTS v Collingwood v Western Bulldogs (February 18, Blacktown), Sydney Swans v North Melbourne (March 3, Kellyville) and GWS GIANTS v Gold Coast SUNS (March 10, Albury).
The NAB Cup will give footy fans the chance to watch the GIANTS and Swans in action before the Sydney Derby and season proper starts on March 24.
All of the action commences on Saturday, February 18 when the GIANTS host Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs in three shortened, fast-paced matches at Blacktown International Sportspark.
Before their debut NAB Cup match as a complete playing squad, GWS will present their team with their first guernseys before the opening match starts at 7.15pm.
Be part of history and watch Israel Folau and Tom Scully play in the orange and charcoal together for the first time.
The match will acknowledge Learn. Earn. Legend! which is a program encouraging Indigenous students to stay in school, get a job and become legends in their own community. Learn. Earn. Legend! is delivered by AFL NSW/ACT with support from the Australian Government.
In Round 2, on Saturday, March 3 the Sydney Swans play North Melbourne at Bruce Purser Reserve, Kellyville.
The match time has been pushed back to 7pm to allow as many people as possible to attend the pre-season fixture after junior sport.
The Swans will be looking to get their season off to a flying start and what better way than taking on up and comers North Melbourne in front of a packed crowd at Bruce Purser.
In the penultimate week of the NAB Cup, on Saturday March 10, the GWS GIANTS will travel to Albury to play the Gold Coast SUNS at 5.30pm.
This will be the first time the AFL’s two expansion clubs have played each other as complete teams. Don’t miss out on seeing Ablett v Scully!
The NAB Cup will be the perfect build up to the season proper and the blockbuster standalone season opener between the GWS GIANTS and Sydney Swans on March 24 at ANZ Stadium. Tickets to the match go on sale on February 20.
