2012 is the most exciting time to get involved in AFL with the Greater Western Sydney GIANTS just weeks away from their debut while the Sydney Swans will again vie for the premiership. With a live match every week in NSW/ACT there will be more opportunities than ever before to get involved in the game as a player, fan, umpire, coach or volunteer.

AFL is a game for everybody with competitions tailored to suit boys and girls all shapes and sizes.

Families new to Australian Football can firstly learn the skills of the game through the fun and safe introductory program, NAB Auskick, for those aged 5 to 12.

From there, young players can progress to the modified version of AFL through Junior and Youth Football, all the way to Seniors and furthermore to one of the 18 AFL clubs throughout Australia.

There are also defined pathways for females from Auskick through to Youth Girls and Senior football. Female football is the fastest growing sport in Australia so get out there and have a kick of the footy!

It doesn’t matter if you’ve never played AFL before. No matter your age or skill level you can join your local club and one of the experienced coaches will be there to teach you all of the tricks of the trade. Find you closest club today by visiting www.playafl.com.au or calling (02) 8333 8030.
