Multicultural and Indigenous Youth Leadership Programs to return in 2021

AFL NSW/ACT will re-launch the Multicultural and Indigenous Youth Leadership Programs in 2021.

The Indigenous Male Youth Leadership camp is funded by Transport for NSW and will be run at National Centre of Indigenous Excellence (NCIE) 7th – 9th April.

The Male Multicultural Youth Leadership Camp will be run at NCIE 14th – 16th April.

Participants have been selected from the High Performance Testing days which were run in 2020 but the camps were unfortunately cancelled due to the ongoing  COVID-19 situation.

Indigenous and Multicultural boys aged 13-16 from around the state will be selected to participate in the camps which will include:

– Elite coaching for AFL Skills and game sense

– Player development goals

– Hearing from GIANTS and Sydney Swans AFL players including Jeremy Finlayson and James Bell

– Sessions on leadership and goal setting

– Understanding of the AFL Talent programs and pathways

This year players will have the opportunity to attend if they were unable to experience the program in 2020.
