Host families needed

HOST FAMILIES DESPERATELY NEEDED!
CAN YOU HELP, PLEASE?

The Sutherland Shire Chuo City Sister City Association DESPERATELY needs families to host students from Japan for six nights at the beginning of Term Three this year – Friday 23rd July to Thursday 29th July.

It is great fun and a wonderful chance to experience Japanese culture without even leaving the Shire!  We can help with transport. We can help with organising sleeping arrangements! We can even supply fold out beds!

The Japanese students will have fun with your family for the weekend, and then attend school with their Aussie host student for two days.

The Sutherland Shire Committee will take the Japanese students on a tour of the Shire and a BBQ in the National Park, where they will get the chance to play some AFL in a skills clinic organised by AFL NSW/ACT.

All you have to do is have fun and share your everyday life in the Shire!

Your family will also be invited to a Dinner Reception hosted by Sutherland Shire Council.

THERE ARE ALSO PLACES AVAILABLE TO TRAVEL TO JAPAN IN THE SEPT / OCTOBER HOLIDAYS, BUT THEY ARE FILLING FAST!

Stay with a Japanese family. Make new friends in a Tokyo High School for two days. Take the famous Shinkansen Bullet Train for four nights in fabulous Kyoto. Visit spectacular ancient temples. Experience traditional accommodation. Eat at a restaurant that has been operating continuously since 1450! Discover the secrets of an authentic Ninja spy castle! Have a half day lesson in Japanese martial arts! GO TO TOKYO DISNEYLAND! Visit the Kyoto National Manga Museum! All at a very reasonable cost!

The Sutherland Shire – Chuo City Sister City Student Program has been operating in the Shire for 21 years. We are part of the Sutherland Shire Council Sister City relationship with Chuo City, Tokyo. The Program to Japan is fully Escorted.
