NSW Auskicker named nation’s best

Sunderland was recently selected as the Round 19 nominee for the award, ahead of thousands of other entries, based on his outstanding attitude and approach to the game.

Sunderland will join 21 other Auskickers who display outstanding dedication, enthusiasm, teamwork and passion in travelling to Melbourne to participate in a money-can’t-buy experience.

All 22 youngsters will walk in the 2014 Toyota AFL Grand Final Parade; play on the MCG on Grand Final day and present medals to the 2014 premiership players.

To further underscore this incredible experience, Sunderland will be afforded two more amazing prizes: $5,000 in a NAB Reward Saver account – which he plans to use on a “boat with a spa,” – plus the services of Geelong captain and three-time premiership player Joel Selwood as his personal footy mentor in 2015.

NSW/ACT Auskick Manager Maddi Blomberg says Sunderland’s win is an outstanding achievement for the region.

“This award  recognises the continued success and increasing awareness of the Auskick program in NSW/ACT,” Blomberg said.

“We’re amidst a really exciting time for Auskick in the region, and it’s fantastic that Lachie has been rewarded, and will now be the face of Auskick across the country next year.”

NAB has been ‘Footifying ‘ Australia for more than 10 years through NAB AFL Auskick, the NAB AFL Rising Stars Program, and NAB Challenge.

In 2014, NAB has Footyfied more than 180,000 children and their parents as they headed to one of 2,800 Auskick centres around the country to participate in NAB AFL Auskick.
