Gum and Lew prepare for historic night

The highlight of Women’s Round will be the inagural AFL Women’s Exhibition game, played as a curtain-raiser on the MCG on Saturday – the first time AFL clubs have competed in an AFL sanctioned women’s match.

Stand-out NSW state player Courtney Gum, from UNSW-ES Stingrays, and Sydney University defender Jennifer Lew will take to the hallowed MCG turf for the match. Gum was recently named in the 2013 All Australian side following the 2013 AFL National Women’s Championships held in Cairns.
