GIANTS nominate Academy players

Harrison Macreadie, Harry Perryman, Kobe Mutch and Zach Sproule at Spotless Stadium

The GIANTS have nominated nine players from its Academy ahead of next month’s NAB AFL Draft.

Yesterday’s nominations means the GIANTS can match any bids made for the nine players on Draft night.

GIANTS Academy Player of the Year Harry Perryman (Collingullie) was joined by Albury trio Will Setterfield, Zach Sproule and Lachlan Tiziani, defender Harrison Macreadie from Henty, Ryan Garwaite (Lavington), Canberra’s Sam Fisher and Broken Hill pair Isaac Cumming and Kobe Mutch,.

If a nominated Club Academy player is overlooked on Draft night, the nominating club has the option to select them as a Category B rookie.

The nine GIANTS players were joined by 20 other potential Academy draft picks from Brisbane, Gold Coast and the Swans.

The club Academy selections were finalised on the same day as the Father-Son selections with Adelaide (Ben Jarman – son of Darren), Collingwood (Callum Brown – son of Gavin, Josh Daicos – son of Peter), Geelong (Sam Simpson – son of Sean) and West Coast (Jake Waterman – son of Chris) all naming players.

The NAB AFL Draft will take place on Friday 25th November at Sydney’s Hordern Pavillion.
