McDonald’s AFL 9s Classic Comes to Sydney

In November, the AFL is hosting the inaugural McDonald’s AFL 9s Classic in the heart of Sydney.

The free event will bring together 100 teams from all over the country to play McDonald’s AFL 9s, competing for more than $50,000 in cash prizes*.

The SCG/Moore Park precinct will come alive with an interactive AFL Fanzone, kids activities, food stalls, pop-up bars, music and loads of entertainment for players and spectators.

What: McDonald’s AFL 9s Classic
When: November 25 and November 26
Where: Moore Park and SCG precinct
Who: AFL 9s Classic is open to people aged 18 and over, regardless of AFL playing experience

Team registration is open for the following divisions:

  1. Open – most competitive
  2. Mixed – social mixed teams (minimum 3 females)
  3. Mixed – over 35s (mixed any genders)
  4. Women’s – social female
  5. Men’s – social male

The event is all about having fun, with participants playing a modified version of the game we all love with friends and family.

All participants will be invited the NAB AFL Draft event on Friday, November 25, and finalists will have the opportunity to play on the SCG, the home of the Sydney Swans.
