Swans Academy assessment day
The Academy is keen to meet and assess boys who want to test their own athletic abilities in a professional environment, under the watchful eye of Paul Roos and his senior Academy Coaches.
Boys who come along to the assessment day don’t need to aspire to join the Academy or play AFL – all that’s required is your enthusiasm to take part in a series of games and skill challenges that will test running, jumping, catching, throwing, kicking, hand/eye co-ordination, agility and communication.
The Academy promises it will be a fun, action-packed day, as a broad range of skills from a variety of sports including, soccer, rugby and athletics, will be included.
While a number of places will be offered to boys to join the QBE Sydney Swans Academy in 2014, for all boys it will be a chance to see where their sporting strengths lie.
The annual Open Assessment Days, to be held in early July, are for boys who will turn 10, 11 or 12 this year.
Boys who turn 10 this year will be assessed on Monday July 1 at Lakeside Oval, on Driver Ave in Moore Park, opposite the SCG.
Boys who turn 11 and 12 this year will be assessed on Wednesday July 3 at Lakeside Oval, on Driver Ave in Moore Park, opposite the SCG.

TIME: 12pm – 2pm
U11 & U12 (Born in the year 2002 / 2001)
DATE: Wednesday 3rd July
TIME: U11 (10am – 12pm) U12 (2pm-4pm)
COST – $50
VENUE – Lakeside Oval, Driver Ave, Moore Park
