AFL State Draft Combine attendees announced

The AFL has today released the names of the 118 players invited to the 2019 NAB AFL State Draft Combines to be held in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth on October 4-5, 12 and 13 respectively.

Seven players from New South Wales and the ACT have been invited and will travel to Melbourne to test in front of AFL recruiters.

The GIANTS and Sydney Swans Academies will each have two representatives at the State Combine with Matt McGrory, James Peatling (GIANTS), Hamish Ellem and Luke Parks (Swans) all invited to attend.

Canberra Demon, Angus Baker who has enjoyed personal success in the NEAFL will join Ben Kelly and William Chandler, both from the Murray Bushrangers in attendance too.

This announcement follows the invitation of Tom Green and Liam Delahunty to attend the NAB AFL Draft Combine at the same time.

A full list of invited players can be found here.

AFL Talent Ambassador Kevin Sheehan said it was an exciting time for the AFL prospects.

“This is another exciting opportunity for players from right across Australia to showcase their AFL potential ahead of the 2019 NAB AFL Draft,” said Sheehan.

“Players are required to have at least two nominations from AFL Clubs for them to be invited to a 2019 NAB AFL State Draft Combine.

“A number of players who have attended NAB AFL State Combines in past years are currently on AFL lists, including Liam Ryan (West Coast Eagles), Matthew Parker (St Kilda), Bayley Fritsch (Melbourne) and Jack Ross (Richmond).”

The NAB AFL Draft Combine is part of the NAB AFL Rising Stars Program, which supports grassroots players and football communities and helps young Australians fulfil their dream of playing in the AFL.

NAB has proudly supported footy for over a decade, providing boys and girls with a clear pathway from NAB AFL Auskick to the big time.
