Mid-year grants, awards and recognition

Now winter is here, Australian rules football is in full swing across the ACT and NSW, with school programs, NAB AFL Auskick and local footy competitions firing!

This time of the year also brings a lot of offerings from the AFL as we continue to acknowledge, celebrate and participate in themes which go beyond the boundary, championing people and causes to build communities and shape footy clubs.

Below is a summary of just some of the awards, acknowledgements and celebrations you and your club can get involved in.

Don’t know where to start for the themed weeks? No worries!? The AFL has created a handy Themed Round Guide to give some examples of how to get your club involved in these and other causes.

There’s also a social and digital toolkit to help you celebrate the women and girls who coach at your club. Access it here.
