Independent Girls Schools Competition commences this weekend

The popularity of AFL in NSW continues to grow with AFL NSW/ACT launching the third season of the Independent Girls Schools Competition this weekend.

AFL NSW/ACT Community Football & Competition Manager, Phil Spratt, spoke of the importance of the Independent Schools Girls Competition providing female students with the opportunity to play AFL.

“It is amazing to see so many young girls playing the game of AFL in NSW,” said Spratt.

“This season we have 11 schools with 72 teams competing across 9 divisions, and I can’t wait to see who will come out on top at the end of the 7 week season.”
