High praise for Swans life member Joe Bradley

Long serving Sydney Swans staff member Joe Bradley was recognised for his dedication and commitment to the Club, awarded Life Membership at the Swans Club Championship dinner.

A staple at the club for 23 years, Mr Bradley calls the stats for all senior games and often sits with the coaches on game day, relaying all vital statistical information.

Mr Bradley started as a volunteer on match day and in 2008 became a part time analysis on statistics.

“I’m just blown away, I’m humbled,” Bradley said.

“Life membership is just fantastic and to be at this club, the great family club that it is, couldn’t ask for anything more.”

Wife Sue and Bradley’s three sons were understandably elated, and there was some additonal high profile praise for the president and life member of the Penrith Rams.

Former Penrith player Stuart Ayres, now the New South Wales Minister for Trade, Tourism, Major Events, and Sport was present on the night, and he was visibly excited to see his friend and ex-coach recognised.

“Coach, Line Marker, Club President, Canteen Manager, Stats man, Joe Bradley has done it all and now Joe Bradley is a Life Member of the Sydney Swans,” Ayres said.

“The great game of AFL is built on the contribution and hard work of people like Joe Bradley.

“From every Auskicker through to our AFL superstars they all know a Joe Bradley. He’s the guy that just makes your club work.

“Congratulations Champion!”
