GIANTS team up for after school fun

The visit to the AASC centre was in response to a letter from Maraylya Public School students Lucas Rando and Jayden Colgan to the Giants to help the after-school program.

The AASC program provides primary school children with access to free sport and other physical activity programs.

The schools are also helped to recruit and train community coaches. Hawkesbury state Liberal MP Ray Williams, who attended the Giants clinic, said its a big incentive for students to have the players speak about the benefits of physical activity. ‘‘This is a wonderful program which will not only improve the fitness of school children but also will boost access to local sporting clubs,’’ Mr Williams said.
