Get on board with the Giants in 2013
The Giants enjoyed their first season as part of the AFL in 2012, and there were many highlights. Some of these included:
- Two wins, one at Manuka Oval in the ACT against the Gold Coast Suns, the other at Skoda Stadium against Port Adelaide
- The celebration of Kevin Sheedy’s 1000th game as player or coach, becoming the first person in the history of the game to achieve the milestone
- Callan Ward winning the inaugural Kevin Sheedy Medal at the club’s best and fairest evening
- 36 players making their debut – a record number
- Luke Power playing his 300th game in the ACT against Melbourne, becoming only the 66th player in VFL/AFL history to achieve this
The young stars of the Giants showed us they will be a force to be reckoned with in the AFL competition and we hope that you will join the journey and become a 2013 Giants member.
