Dane Swan plays for South West Sydney Blues
A crowd of more than 500 were treated to a champagne display on a sunny Saturday at Rosedale Oval, Warwick Farm.
Dane Swan, Collingwood’s five-time All Australian, Brownlow Medallist and three-time Copeland Trophy winner, can now add a win in AFL Sydney’s Platinum competition (second division) for South West Sydney Blues to his accolades.
The club presented the 258-gamer a special jumper with his trademark number 36.
Swan amassed 20 first-half possessions in the Blues’ rollicking win over the Balmain Tigers, 15.11.101 to 3.5.23.
The club used Swan’s appearance to full effect, not only scoring a win on the field, but a windfall off it, hosting Swan at an evening function where 300 attended.
