Community Legend – Peter Nash

We kick it off this week with our longstanding Community Legend from Broken Hill, Peter Nash.

Peter Nash is a well-known businessman in Broken Hill who works tirelessly for the local football community. He played A-Grade football for Central Football Club in his earlier years and retired whilst still playing great football to concentrate on family and business interests.

Later, Peter  tried his hand at coaching with South Broken Hill for two years during which time they won a premiership. Peter is a founding member of the Broken Hill Shinglebacks who compete in Master’s Football and support football, including Juniors, in many ways including financially. When the Broken Hill Football League affiliated with AFL NSW/ACT Peter was elected as the inaugural Chairman of the Board.

Since this time he has continued to work tirelessly for the league because of his great love of the game. The time he puts in is amazing including many hours burning the midnight oil each week producing and editing the Football Budget. Peter’s leadership and expertise are a much valued commodity for AFL Broken Hill.
