AFL umpires recognised

AFL NSW/ACT is pleased to announce that Matthew Gestier and Sam Skinner have been announced as the second round winners of the 2010 Officials Recognition Scheme award.

The NSW Sports Federation Officials Recognition Scheme acknowledges outstanding achievements in and contributions towards officiating in sport in four categories:

– outstanding official internation/national
– outstanding official state/regional
– outstanding young official
– officials contribution award

The Officials Awards presentation will be held on Wednesday, 15 December 2010.

Matthew Gestier will be vying for the outstanding official state/regional while Sam Skinner is up for the outstanding young official award.
