NSW/ACT into final after unbeaten run

The first point was scored by the Woomeras but NSW/ACT were quickly on the attack, with a behind and a goal from Blaise Miller-Hill.

Some great passing leading to a regulation goal from Rebecca Beeson in the latter stages of the first quarter had NSW/ACT in front but the Woomeras equalized with a long-distance goal reaching the posts.

Eleri Morris had a superb game, and was rewarded early with a goal from in front with a minute to play before the first break.

The second quarter brought superior tackling from the Woomeras to stifle the NSW/ACT attack inside the fifty, but they eventually broke through to extend their lead to 21 at half-time.

The Woomeras came back after the break to score after some prolonged tussle in the midfield, closing the gap to fifteen before Eleri Morris took control of the game and scored two goals in succession followed by a spectacular last second goal from Rebecca Beeson to stretch the lead to 34 points at three-quarter time.

It was a tightly contested start to the final term, without a point registered on the board until three minutes to go when the Woomeras goaled after scrappy play inside fifty.

Time would be the decider of the match, with NSW/ACT having the upper hand with just minutes left to play. The final margin was 28 points in favour of the home side, who are now unbeaten in the tournament.
