NEAFL Rising Star Nominee: Lloyd Perris

Perris had a stellar campaign for the NSW/ACT Under-18 Rams at the recent NAB AFL National Championships, and was a standout for the Swans reserves in their Round 17 clash with the UWS GIANTS on Sunday at the SCG.

Perris was a shining light in a losing Swans side on the weekend, matching several of the young UWS Giants players for skill and pace around the contest.

The draft hopeful was impressive during the National Championships, taking honours as the Most Valuable Player for the Rams, being named in the Under-18 All Australian side and was the recipient of the Ben Mitchell award, a peer-voted award for the AIS.

Perris is a NSW scholarship player for the Swans and has been training with the QBE Sydney Swans Academy since its inception. He has played intermittently for the Reserves side all season.

Perris was named among the best players for the reserves, alongside Dean Towers, Thomas Head and Jake Lloyd, and his leadership was evident around the contests as he played mainly in a midfield role.
