Swans and GIANTS player movements

The post season review period has brought upon a number of list changes at the Sydney Swans and GWS GIANTS.
Sydney Swans primary list players Jarred Moore and Mark Seaby have been delisted, along with rookie list players Eugene Kruger, Jack Lynch and Dylan Mitchell.
Jarred Moore joined the Swans as second round draft pick from the Danedenong Stringrays in the 2004 National Draft. The bustling midfielder debuted in Round 7 of the 2005 season and played 68 matches in the red white, including 4 finals.
Mark Seaby joined the Swans from the West Coast Eagles in 2010 as a versatile ruckman. Injuries, as well as the strong form of Shane Mumford and Mike Pyke, restricted him to only 18 games for the Swans.
Swans General Manager Dean Moore thanked all the players for their contribution to the club.
“All these players have had a positive influence on the club and we wish to thank them all for their hard work,” Moore said.
“We wish to pay a special tribute to Jarred Moore, who has been an outstanding leader and popular player in the playing group.”
“His leadership and experience has been incredibly valuable to the young players in our club.”
The GWS GIANTS primary list in 2013 will be without Stephen Clifton, Tim Segrave, Luke Power and James McDonald.
Stephen Clifton, who joined the club from North Ballarat, played only five games for the GIANTS; and Tim Segrave, who hails from Corowa in NSW, was unable to make his debut due to battling with injury- were both delisted.
Veterans Luke Power 302 games and James McDonald 251 games have retired from the AFL after illustrious careers. Both joined the GIANTS in 2012 as senior midfielders that mentored the club in their inaugural year.
GWS GIANTS have also had a shuffle in the coaching roles with assistant Mark Williams departing for a role as Richmond Tigers development coach. His replacement is Leon Cameron the 2012 assistant coach of Hawthorn, who has signed a four year deal and is expected to be the successor of head Coach Kevin Sheedy in 2014.
Giants Chief Executive Dave Matthews was extremely pleased in the signing Cameron to the GIANTS after he was strongly pursued by Port Adelaide for their head role.
“After a distinguished playing career, Leon has served an extensive coaching apprenticeship with the Western Bulldogs and Hawthorn,” Giants chief executive David Matthews said.
“He has many outstanding attributes as a coach but also as a person and will make a wonderful addition to the club.”
With trade week underway, both the Sydney Swans and GWS GIANTS will be looking to improve their lists leading up to the national draft on November 22nd.
