14 NSW/ACT girls make 2024 Allies squad

The Allies squad for the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships – U18 Girls will have 14 NSW/ACT players to choose from with nine Sydney Swans Academy and five GIANTS Academy players making the cut.

The 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships – U18 Girls will be played from late June through to August and will feature the most talented under 18 girls footballers from across Australia.
 
The Championships feature six teams – the Allies, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria Country, Victoria Metro and Western Australia. All teams will play three matches.

The 26-player Allies squad comprises players from the ACT, New South Wales, Northern Territory and Tasmania.

In a boost for local players, Sydney Swans Academy girls coach, Tanya Hetherington, has been appointed head coach.

The Allies will commence their campaign on Saturday, June 29 when they take on Victoria Metro at Blacktown International Sportspark in the opening game of the Championships.
 
They will then play Queensland at Brighton Homes Arena on Saturday, July 13 before finishing their campaign with a clash with South Australia at Thebarton Oval on Thursday, July 18.
