AFL Breaks All-Time Attendance Record

The AFL is pleased to advise a total of 6,732,601  fans have attended an AFL match during the 2017 Toyota AFL Premiership season, breaking the all-time attendance record set in 2011.

AFL Chief Executive Gill McLachlan has thanked fans and congratulated the 18 AFL clubs and venues nationally on a successful season to date.

“We are extremely proud of our fans in breaking this record.”

“Beyond the competitive season, breaking the all-time attendance record is a combination of our clubs and our venues being focused with us in engaging fans and delivering a great match day experience.” Mr McLachlan said.

The AFL’s home and away season total attendances since 2011:
