Independent Schools Competitions

Introduction

Over the past three years AFL NSW/ACT has worked with a number of Sydney Independent Schools to provide opportunities for students to participate in a trial school-based competition.

The trial phase has proved to be a huge success with the program growing to 10 schools and 31 teams, playing across four age groups in primary and secondary school.

AFL NSW/ACT remains committed to working with Independent Schools and key Associations to facilitate growth of this program. Our long term commitment is to administer a competition of exceptional quality and support all Independent Schools who are involved in the program. We will work collaboratively with key Associations to develop programs in male and female schools that will provide a positive experience to the entire school community that is respectful of the existing school sporting program.
