Major boost for community grounds
Twenty-seven community AFL venues throughout NSW will receive facility upgrades after the NSW Governement announced the recipents of the 2010 Community Building Partnership Grants.
A total of $1,650,000 in grants will assist in completing a number of key projects by the end of 2011.
From new lighting to amenities and coaching boxes, local clubs will now have better facilities for training and matches.
Upgraded facilities will also positively influence the community with the opportunity to host more events, sporting matches and activities now a possibility in some instances.
The hard work by AFL staff, club volunteers and local councillors has been pivotal in creating quality club environments.
