2012 Community Reclink Cup

On Sunday 18 March, the Sydney Sailors and the Western Walers will take to the footy oval  for the first time.

These brave players from local Sydney radio/media and rock bands, as well as a handful of diehard Reclink Community Cup players from Melbourne, will battle it out to see who will hold the trophy for the first ever Sydney event.

Renowned musician Dan Sultan will captain the Western Walers and radio/TV personality Adam Spencer will lead the Sydney Sailors.

Come and watch these two brave teams battle it out, see some great bands and enjoy the day, all for a great cause. Who will take the first ever flag?

Thanks to the monster efforts made by Melbourne participants and supporters in the last 20 years of Melbourne Community Cup history, we have been able to create a new chapter in Sydney.

The principals of the event are the same – fundraising for Reclink Australia which uses sport and the arts to enhance the lives of people experiencing disadvantage and targets some of the community’s most vulnerable and isolated people – those experiencing mental illness, disability, homelessness, substance abuse, addictions and social and economic hardship.
