Playing consistently through all four terms, the NSW/ACT side took every opportunity in their stride with their efficient decision-making, clean hands and strong movement.

Assistant coach Jason Saddington was pleased with the sides attacking performance.

“It was a pretty uncontested sort of game, however the boys were really solid all the way through to the end. They held their structures and they played their roles to get a 190-point win” Said Saddington

“I think defensively they were a little bit lazy at times, probably just waiting for the opposition to turn over the ball rather than going and putting pressure on the NT players and covering their outlets” Said Saddington

An impressive performance from Jake Brown saw the 18-year-old midfielder finish with 5 goals and over 30 possessions.

“He was pretty clean for most of the night and his contested work was really good. It was great to see him have a bit of a break out game this year because he’s probably been a little bit down on form. It was good to see him get out there and have a really, really strong performance” Said Saddington

Following the Development Game was Round 1 of the NAB U16s National Championships where NSW/ACT Rams 12.16 (88) defeated the Northern Territory 5.12 (42).
