Lamb, Rohan bridge the rivalry

Just a few months ago Gary Rohan and Jed Lamb were teammates and best mates at the Swans.
But an offer Lamb couldn’t refuse from the Giants means the inseparable pair are now on opposite sides of Sydney’s AFL divide.
The duo will be one of a number of a host of individual battles in Saturday night’s season opener at Spotless Stadium (formerly Skoda Stadium) as they fight for bragging rights as well as premiership points.
As they prepare for Saturday night’s showdown Rohan admits he’s still getting over the shock of seeing his best friend playing for the Swans fiercest rivals.
“I was pretty devastated when I heard he was going,” Rohan said.
“My best mate going to the enemy team.”
“It’s probably the best thing for his career because he can get a game there every week. He still hasn’t played his best football yet. Hopefully he plays some consistent football at the Giants, he has a far better chance because the Swans are so hard to break into.”
