Rams side announced for Under-16 Championships

The Under-16 AFL NSW/ACT Rams side has been decided ahead of the 2019 NAB AFL Under-16 Championships.

Set to play three games across the national competition, the Rams will take on Queensland, the Northern Territory and Tasmania, with their first match to be against old rivals, Queensland in Blacktown on June 23.

The Rams will then travel to Queensland where the remainder of the Championships will be played out on July 9 and 13.

Under 16s Head Coach Darren Pfeiffer, who will be assisted by Jason Saddington and Jared Crouch, says he is keen to see what his new side can bring to the table.

“I’d firstly like to congratulate all those selected,” said Pfeiffer.

“It’s been great to watch the young men perform strongly over the Swans and GIANTS Academy Series.

“There is a lot of talent coming through New South Wales and the ACT, and we will now look towards the training camp [June 14-16], where players and staff will concentrate on building relationships and creating a professional environment for the players.”
