Emu Plains Glenmore Park Lions raise $30,000 for charity

The Emu Plains Glenmore Park Lions Junior AFL club held their second Sportsman’s Lunch and raised more than $30,000 for the Ronald McDonald Family Room Nepean in the Neo-natal intensive care unit at Nepean Hospital.

The Event organiser and club President Sean Hogan was delighted to be supporting such a worthy cause

“This was an amazing result,” said Mr Hogan.

“The money raised will be used to purchase a vehicle for the Ronald McDonald Family Room to help pick up donations and make the day to day running of the charity that little bit easier.

“The day wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors and all of our EPGP Lions club players and families.

“I am proud to be part of such a fantastic club that together are making a positive difference in the local community”.

Over 200 guests were treated to a day of entertainment with the day’s MC Andrew Voss auctioning up a storm and sporting legends Doug Walters, Michael O’Loughlin, and Beau Scott providing guests with a unique understanding of what it takes to be successful in the professional sporting arena.

Sean Hogan and everyone associated with the EPGP Lions would like to thank all that attended for their amazing generosity and look forward to presenting the vehicle that the $30,000 raised will be purchasing for Ronal McDonald House.
