AFLW Draft Combine Player Review: Haneen Zreika

Western Sydney’s Haneen Zreika was one of four players from the New South Wales and ACT region to take part in the inaugural NAB AFL Women’s Draft Combine last week in Melbourne.

Across the two-day Combine, Zreika shone in the endurance events, gaining a top ten birth in both the 2km Time Trial and the Yo-Yo Run.

Competing against 45 of the nation’s best up-and-coming AFL Women’s potential draftees, Zreika held her own, bringing that famous Auburn GIANTS fighting spirit with her.

Outlasting her midfield group in the Yo-You Run, Zreika was the left as the last woman running, finishing at level 16.3 and ranking seventh overall.

Zreika was also a standout in the 2km Time Trial, ranking third overall with 7 minutes and 51 seconds posted on the scoreboard.

The 2017 NAB AFL Women’s Draft will be held on 18 October 2017.
