NSW/ACT Youth Girls coach position

Do you have a passion for developing young female AFL stars?

The rapid growth of the game across NSW and the ACT has seen a strong increase in the number of youth aged female players. Skill development and game understanding is increasing at a phenomenal rate as the NSW/ACT team look to show dominance and strength at this year’s Youth Girls Championships.

AFL NSW/ACT is currently seeking applications for an experienced head coach and an assistant coach for the NSW/ACT Under-18 Youth Girls team to play at the National Championships, being held on the Gold Coast from the 19th – 24th September 2011.

The head coach will be required to select the playing team from the current training squad, facilitate and run training sessions in the lead up to the event and attend/coach at the event.

Due to the geographical nature of player participation, both coaching positions will be required to frequently communicate with either state or territory bodies to ensure a well rounded approach is taken.

The role will require working closely with the Team Manager, Team Trainer and AFL NSW/ACT staff members. The position will be appointed on a voluntary basis however the coaching staff’s accommodation, transport and uniform will be provided. Combined applications between prospective head and assistant coaches are welcome.
