NSW/ACT clubs support Call to Arms
The fundraising activities, which included barbeques and a raffle that raised over $2000, were part of a national campaign across a number of sports and community groups. AFL NSW/ACT has been a proud supporter of the Cancer Council for a number of years and this year’s support from across the club network was unprecedented.
Sydney Swans player Lewis Roberts-Thomson was a local ambassador for the campaign and continued his support for the initiative.
AFL NSW/ACT Community Football Manager Andrew Knott presented the New South Wales Cancer Council’s Sophie Helou with a cheque for $200 this week, in addition to the fundraising efforts from 87 clubs all over NSW and the ACT.
