NSW and ACT ready for a Summer of Footy like no other

AFL NSW/ACT is excited to announce we are ready to recommence football activity across the state and territory.

Avid fans, experienced players, social participants and curious observers young and old will have the opportunity to be involved in all kinds of football activities this summer.

We are thrilled to kick off a Summer of Footy right across NSW and the ACT, capturing the hearts and minds of tens of thousands of people along the way.

With the NSW and ACT Governments clearing the way for participation in sport to continue, AFL NSW/ACT is bouncing back, following COVID-19 regulations in NSW and ACT to ensure everyone can enjoy the fun safely.

“We are all ready to hear the sounds of the game ringing out across footy fields as we get back into doing what we love,” said Tiffany Robertson, Head of AFL NSW/ACT. “After a challenging period for our game, it’s exciting to begin to return through the Summer of Footy.”

Pre-season training for community clubs is already kicking into gear, school programming is back for the remainder of Term 4, NAB AFL Auskick registrations for 2022 are open, umpires are hitting the training track, talent programs and Academies are firing up, and the AFLW competition will be back bigger, better and longer than ever from early January.

AFL NSW/ACT can not wait to get back out into our community and ensure everyone gets the chance to experience AFL through our Summer of Footy.
