The Sydney Swans will play the Brisbane Lions this Friday, March 6 at C.ex International Stadium in Coffs Harbour for the first match of the NAB Challenge.

The match starts at 7.10pm and will be a free event for 2015 Swans members. Tickets can be purchased here.

Footy fans are encouraged to come along early and watch the future stars of the AFL in action when the QBE Swans Academy take on the Brisbane Lions Academy at 4.10pm as the curtain-raiser.

MEMBER REDEMPTIONS
Please note, member services will be at the match to hand out a limited number of member redemption items. Remember to bring along your voucher.

MERCHANDISE
A range of 2015 Swans merchandise – including kids’ guernseys – will be available from the ground on the night.

GETTING THERE AND AWAY

Public Transport

Normal public transport routes available to the game.

Parking

Parking is subject to availability at C.ex Coffs Harbour International Stadium. Parking is free to all patrons and subject to availability.

Make sure you get along to Blacktown International Sportspark on Saturday for the GIANTS’ first NAB Challenge game for the year as they take on Gold Coast this Saturday, March 7 at 4.10pm.

All GIANTS members with game access receive FREE entry to the game by simply scanning your 2015 membership card at the gate. If you are yet to receive your card, visit the GIANTS staff at the membership marquee at the game.

Entry is within general admission and members can upgrade to a reserved seat within the grandstand using their 2015 membership barcode via Ticketmaster and paying a special members upgrade rate.

General admission tickets start at $4 for juniors and $18 for adults, click here to purchase your tickets now.

You can also call 136 100 or visit any Ticketmaster outlet. The ticket office will be open from 2:15pm at Blacktown International Sportspark on Saturday and is located next to the main gate.

Location:

Blacktown International Sportspark Sydney is located on Eastern Road, Rooty Hill and is easily accessible by the M2, M4, M5 and M7 Motorway Networks.

Public Transport:

A free shuttle bus service will operate to and from Doonside Railway Station and Blacktown International Sportspark from 2:30pm. The last shuttle will depart the Sportspark at 7pm.


Parking:

Public parking is within P2, P3 or P4 carparks and is $10 (CASH ONLY) upon entry of the carpark. Additional event parking is available on the opposite side of Eastern Road within the Ann Aquilina Reserve

Match Day Activities:

Bring the kids and visit the GIANTS Inflatable Fan Zone inside Blacktown International Sportspark. The GIANTS membership team will be on hard to answer all your membership questions or sign up as a 2015 member on the day. You can also pick up some gear from the merchandise tent, including the GIANTS’ 2015 Yearbook for just $10.

Broadcast Information:

This is a non-broadcast game and will not be shown on TV, however the entire match will be live-streamed on gwsgiants.com.au and on the GIANTS’ mobile app with commentary from CrocMedia.

NAB Challenge Rules:

Nine points awarded for goals kicked from outside the 50m arc.

A player awarded a 50m penalty which takes them inside the 50m area can elect either to kick from outside 50 for nine points or kick from inside 50 for six points.

Longer breaks between quarters, if the weather requires.

Rookie list players can be used in games.

Interchange: Rounds one and two – six interchange players plus two substitutes per team.

Unlimited interchanges per team for game.

Tighter interpretation of blocking in marking contests.

Time-on/off: Rounds one and two – no time-on/off in first 15 minutes of each quarter unless a goal is scored or there is a major undue delay. The final five minutes of each quarter reverts to normal time-on/off scenarios.

Trialling of four-umpire system in games over first two weekends.

If any match is drawn, no extra time will be played.

Team:
