In Memoriam: Bob Hughes

It is with great sadness to advise that Robert “Gunny “Hughes passed away on Wednesday morning after a long battle with Cancer.

Bob worked in the AFL Wagga office for a period of time and will be sorely missed among the football community.

Bob was a very valued colleague and a friend to all the staff that worked with him in the Wagga office. He had an incredible knowledge for the game and will be remembered as a respected football administer who serviced the local leagues with great distinction in the following seasons:

2001 – Administration Secretary of MVAFA.
2002 – Football Operation Manager of MVAFA 
End of 2007 – retired as administration secretary of MVAFA.

Rest in peace Bob and you will always hold a special place in the hearts of the football community.
