Holiday camp a success for Korean kids
On September 25 and 26, with the assistance of More Sports, AFL NSW/ACT hosted a holiday program for children of Korean background at Wentworth Common Oval in Olympic Park.
The purpose of this program was to introduce the sport to students who previously had not been exposed to the AFL as well as developing skills to those who did play it.
Most students came from Newington Public school, adjacent to the Olympic Park, with others from Strathfield, Gladesville and Burwood.
There were many enthusiastic children ranging from five to 13, who participated in all activities even with the hot and very windy weather.
