AFLW Draft Combine Player Review: Chloe Arndt
Western Sydney’s Chloe Arndt capped off a successful year at last week’s 2017 NAB AFL Women’s Draft Combine in Melbourne.
Playing as a part of the inaugural East Coast Eagles Women’s side in the AFL Sydney competition, Arndt’s call up to test in front of AFL Women’s recruiters came following their first finals appearance.
Arndt’s Smartspeed 20m Sprint was her best event across the Draft Combine, hitting 3.73 seconds – only 0.49 milliseconds behind the quickest time of 3.24 seconds by AFL NSW/ACT’s Pippa Smyth.
Arndt also had differing leaps between her running left and running right vertical jumps. Hitting 34cm jumping off her right leg, Arndt improved dramatically off her left leg, leaping to 47cm.
The 2017 NAB AFL Women’s Draft takes place next week on 18 October 2017.
