The brother of Swans premiership player Kieren, and son of Balmain Tigers great Garry Jack, will now join the club’s youth team to further develop his skills and push for senior team selection.
Brandon plays a bit differently to his older premiership winning brother being an outside running wing player.
Swans recruiting manager Kinnear Beatson said Brandon will be an exciting addition to the team with his blistering speed and good ball skills.
“Brandon’s form for NSW and the academy has been okay-to-solid, but what he does have is some genuine leg speed,” Beatson said.
“While we’ve got Brandon in our backyard and he’s got lots to learn, we thought it was a good opportunity to promote him onto our rookie list and secure him, and then develop the leg speed that he’s got.”
Brandon has impressed at pre-season training and says he’s taken a massive step in the right direction to join Kieren in the senior Swans team.
“I’ve always wanted to play professional sport and now that I can play in the same team as my brother is just great,” Brandon said.
The Jacks won’t be the only brothers running around for the Swans next season with the club also securing exciting utility player Xavier Richards, who’s the younger brother of Ted.
