The Allies have made several changes to their team ahead of their Round 3 NAB AFL U18 Championships match against Western Australia tomorrow.

Travelling to Perth following their loss to South Australia last week, the Allies will be searching for their first win of the 2017 competition.

After strong performances in the NAB AFL Academy Series, GWS GIANTS Academy members, Laine Fitzgerald and Doulton Langlands come into the side to make their 2017 Championships debut.

Jarrod Osbourne of the Sydney Swans Academy also joins the team, who will line up at Leederville Oval.

Giving these three players a chance at the national level are Nick Blakey and Jack Hardman, who will sit out Round 3.

Tom Highmore, Brendan Myers and Nathan Richards will also remain on the East Coast. All three players have been selected in the GWS GIANTS NEAFL squad to play the Brisbane Lions today.

Northern Territory’s Adam Sambono and Queensland’s Connor Nutting also come into the Allies team.

Western Australia are coming off a 38-point loss to the Allies’ first round opponents, Vic Country.

Sitting fourth on a five-team ladder, the home side have also made a number of changes to their team. Four new Western Australians –  Oliver Eastland, Aaron Redhead, Joseph Ugle and Damon Cramer – come into the run on squad.

Jarrod Brander will be one to watch for the Allies tomorrow, after a strong performance against South Australia. Brander accumulated 15 disposals and added a goal in last week’s Round 2 match.

Jack Powell will also be looking to keep a strong scoring record alive, having kicked goals in both Championship matches so far.

The Allies play Western Australia on 25 June 2017 at 12.30pm (WA time) at Leederville Oval.
