AFL Volunteer Recognition Program

Since 2003 the AFL has recognised the important and valuable contribution of volunteers at community clubs and leagues via the AFL Volunteer Recognition Program.

In 2010 the AFL Volunteer Recognition Program can now be accessed directly through a clubs record in Footyweb.  Simply login to Footyweb and then click on the ‘AFL Volunteers’ tab on the left hand menu to access the volunteer recognition program.

Clubs are encouraged to contact their league for advice if they need assistance on how to login to their record in Footyweb.

Each year, participating clubs and leagues receive recognition certificates for volunteers who are new to the club as well as for those who have completed 5, 10 and 25 years service.  Special medallions are also awarded to recognise the significant contribution of 50 years or more.

Download the 10 step user guide – the guide provides easy-to-follow instructions on how clubs can add/update volunteer details.

To ensure certificates are sent it is very important that clubs tick the ‘Verifying Club Volunteer Records’ box.   Clubs must check their club details and tick this box to confirm that they are ready to receive certificates this year.  This check box can be found by clicking the edit club details section.  Please see step 3 of the user guide for more information.

The cut off date is COB Friday 3rd September.  All volunteer details updated prior to this date will receive certificates at no cost to the club, league or state.
