AFL NSW/ACT partners with Evergreen Turf

AFL NSW/ACT is pleased to announce a two-year partnership with turf contractor, Evergreen Turf.

Evergreen Turf is one of the oldest and most well regarded turf companies in Australia, supplying specialist turf to most major stadiums in New South Wales.

AFL NSW/ACT and the Sydney Swans have enjoyed a strong relationship with Evergreen Turf for many years, thanks to their association with the SCG Trust, and the Trust’s use of Evergreen Turf across their sporting fields.

AFL NSW/ACT Community Grants and Venues Manager, Matthew Graham said he is excited about the role that Evergreen Turf can play in addressing the code’s greatest strategic challenge in the region – facilities.

“Evergreen Turf are distinguished industry leaders in their field, so to formalise a partnership with them is one we are excited to announce,” said Graham.

“Quality facilities for our stakeholders to utilise is a major priority for our business, so having Evergreen Turf on board to assist with our playing fields across the state and territory, is a great outcome.

Importantly for AFL NSW/ACT, Evergreen Turf’s passion for grassroots sport will significantly benefit our local community clubs and leagues right across New South Wales and the ACT.

Evergreen Turf General Manager, Wayne Davey reiterated Graham’s comments, explaining the company’s excitement to partner with AFL NSW/ACT.

“Whilst we are very proud of the works we undertake in New South Wales’ premier stadiums, we also wish to support AFL at all levels in New South Wales and the ACT,” said Davey.
