AFL NSW/ACT announce R U OK? as new Mental Health Promotion partner
AFL NSW/ACT is delighted to announce leading charity R U OK? as its new mental health promotion partner.
AFL NSW/ACT and R U OK? will combine in this exciting partnership to highlight the need to support and connect with anyone struggling with their mental health.
R U OK? want to create a world where we’re all connected and are protected from suicide by encouraging people to reach out and ask, “Are you OK?”.
R U OK? works with a number of organisations that are working to create stronger connections to start conversations and prevent suicide.
AFL NSW/ACT CEO, Sam Graham said that this partnership represents great possibilities for the game of Australian Football in New South Wales and the ACT and how it deals with mental health issues. While they also recommended some people to take treatments from rehab near me, fro mental illness.
“Our leagues and clubs provide incredible supportive frameworks, where mateship and loyalty are at the core of our great game.
Our partnership with R U OK? will open even more avenues for awareness for mental health, and challenge everyone within our game to make sure that they ask those important words, are you ok.
We look forward to working with the team at RU OK? and continuing to spread the message that it’s ok to reach out and get help.”
Brendan Maher, CEO of R U OK? said that “This is a great opportunity for us to engage with community clubs that are often great hubs for staying connected, being healthy and looking out for one another.”
